Hey guys, a Happy New Week to you all and welcome to another edition of the “Alumni of the Week” series.
Before we proceed, here is the link to the previous edition if you missed it.
We present our next feature for the Alumni spotlight, Bariture Peter-mkpeme, one of our Batch B student of The Aba Mastering Footwear Program.
Been a part of the Aba Mastering Footwear Training was a fulfilling moment for Bariture.
She not only learnt footwear production but also cleared her doubts about MadeInNigeria shoes.
Let’s hear from her, as she shares her experience at The Academy.
Hello Bariture, Please introduce yourself.
Hello, my name is Bariture Peter-mkpeme.
How did you hear about The Aba Mastering Footwear Program?
I got to know about the program through a friend.
What motivated you to sign up for the Program?
Well, I’m really passionate about footwear production, I saw the opportunity and couldn’t help but leverage it.
Tell us your experience during the training.
My experience at The Footwear Academy was just amazing.
I wish to thank TFA for building the confidence in me that locally produced footwear can compete favourably with foreign/imported ones.
Each class was a moment to go back fulfilled. The instructors ensured we made the best out of ourselves as no opportunity was given to laxity.
Interesting, so what’s next for you?
Building my own brand “T-smiles Footy”.
I hope to elevate T-smiles Footy to a height where she competes favourably with other footwear manufacturers, both locally and internationally.
What advice do you have for young people?
Be determined to bring out the best in you, surround yourself with the right thinking people.
