We present to you our next feature, the talented, Akpan Favour, one of our Batch B student of The Aba Mastering Footwear Program.

Akpan is a young and creative entrepreneur who sort to improve his skill on footwear production.

The Aba Mastering Footwear program was the right tool he needed to achieve his goal.

Let’s dive in and hear his story.

Hello Akpan, Please introduce yourself.

Hello, my name is Akpan Favour Abasiamaa.

How did you hear about The Aba Mastering Footwear Program?

I got to know about the program online.

What motivated you to sign up for the Program?

I have so much passion for leather craft ranging from bag making to shoe making.

I had the basic knowledge on footwear production and needed to improve on it.

I saw the Aba Mastering footwear program as the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Tell us your experience during the training.

It was an awesome experience. During the training, I learnt more than enough.

It was a nice experience for me from the pattern making to  the production and with the  entrepreneurial soft skill, it was all enlightening and educative.

I learnt a lot and even improved on my previous knowledge on footwear production.

Interesting, so what’s next for you?

I wish to gradually establish my brand, “Nissibrand Creation”. I hope to keep practicing all I have learnt, putting my skills to work and one day training interested young individuals in the line of leatherworks production.

It’s my intention to build a renowed brand in the leatherworks industry and I will work hard towards achieving that.

What advice do you have for young people?

I’ll advice the young people to try as much as possible to acquire a skill, it should be as important as your education. We shouldn’t always depend on the government.

Kindly drop your contact information.

My brand name on social media is “Nissibrand Creation” and I can be reached with the phone number 07011362147

Thank you Akpan, we are glad you had a fruitful time at The Academy. We wish you success in all your future endeavours.
